Acro is an impressive genre of dance, which incorporates elements of gymnastics, jazz, tumbling, and basic contortion. To master an Acro trick students must develop a good foundation of strength and flexibility. Thus, emphasis is placed on an extensive
conditioning and stretching portion of the class. Trick movements are usually executed slowly to emphasize gracefulness, body lines and picturesque extension. Students learn Acrobatic tricks such as handstands, cartwheels, chest rolls, elbow stands, walkovers and aerials.

Dress Code

Option 1:

  • Any colour/style bodysuit, footless tights, dance shorts

  • NO tank tops, t-shirts or dance pants

  • Bare feet
  • Hair off the face in a ponytail or bun

Option 2:

  • Fitted white t-shirt or tank top
  • Any colour/style shorts or Dance Pants- NO JEANS

  • Dance Belt – (similar to a jock strap a dance belt is a specialized undergarment worn by male dancers for support)
  • Bare Feet
  • Hair off face/out of eyes
